Villa Marie is an incredibly beautiful place to come together to create lasting family memories. Our time there with our children and their families was enriched by the impressive grounds, lovely interior decor, charming staff and delicious meals. Unexpected delights abound there for both young and old: a canopy of kiwis, the perfect peach-colored rose, a platter of grapes on the counter, red ripe tomatoes on the vine, hungry goldfish, friendly white ducklings, catalpa trees, art in the garden, the pool the pool the pool! One recognizes a treasure found when all ask, “When can we go back?”
The villa itself is nothing short of spectacular—every corner reflects so much love and attention to detail. From the tasteful décor to the magical gardens, it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating this beautiful space. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s a truly special place that exceeds all expectations. Highly recommend!
A dreamy place, with a lovely view of the landscape, great food and friendly host! The villa itself is the most beautiful and includes all amenities. Had the best time, would love to go back!
I’ve stayed at the Villa Marie several times, during both summer and winter, and this is just the best Italian experience you could wish for! The location is perfect, in a quiet village near Lucca, just between Firenze and Pisa, and a 2 hour drive away from the Cinque Terre. The estate features everything you could need: an outdoor swimming pool, a lake, a very large garden, an indoor spa... This is one of the few places where I’ve really felt at home away from home, also thanks to the staff. I highly recommend it, and can’t wait to go back!
Stayed here with my family for a week in September and we loved it! Getting around was pretty easy since we could get to Florence and Pisa in an hour, same with the airport in about 30 minutes. Had a lovely stay, thank you to the staff for making us feel right at home. Ciao
Straight-up dream spot in Vorno!
Un séjour magique entre amis. La Villa Marie conjugue élégance et convivialité à l’italienne. J’ai pu réellement vivre la dolce vita et ce à deux pas de Lucca. Si je reviens en Toscane ce sera sans aucun doute direction Villa Marie !
Nous avons séjourné à la Villa Marie pendant notre lune de miel et nous n’en revenons toujours pas. Les esthètes comme les amoureux de la nature seront comblés : la villa est artistiquement meublée et décorée, et dans le jardin, magnolia, cyprès, rosiers, citronniers... L’emplacement est idéal, et permet de profiter du calme de la campagne toscane tout en étant très proche du beau village de Lucca. La villa est un havre de paix et de beauté, et fut une étape inoubliable de notre voyage de noces !

Un séjour merveilleux dans un lieu magnifique ! Je recommande sans hésiter, confort et beauté sont au rendez-vous.

What a magical week we have had in your stunning home. The view from every window! The perfection of the garden, the delicious food, the beautiful interiors. It is all breathtaking and unlike anywhere else. We leave with hearts full of happiness, bellies full of food (!) and memories made that will last forever. A huge thank you to you all.
Marleen and the entire team at Villa Marie made this an experience of a lifetime. The care and attention to detail on the entire property makes this a magical place. We enjoyed everything from food, wine tasting and tennis to the beautiful pool and walking the gardens. Waking up to this view is unreal. We had late-night laughs and perfect evenings. Such a gorgeous and very special place and people. We hope to be back!
We especially want to express our deep appreciation for the incredible chef, who went above and beyond to accommodate our food allergies with care and diligence. It meant so much to us to be able to fully relax and enjoy every meal. Most importantly, our children felt completely safe and at ease, which is something we don’t take for granted.
I have stayed in many places around the world. This was definitely in the top five. I cannot wait to return!

Our group of fourteen enjoyed being together and taking in all that your home and the area have to offer. Your team is amazing. Our al fresco meals and karaoke evening were such fun. You transformed our White Party evening into something special with fragrant white jasmine, table settings and accompaniments.
This was our second year coming to this extraordinary haven and, if possible, it has become even more stunning and cosy than we remembered. We thank you sincerely for your hard work, big hearts and big smiles that have yet again made this family vacation a fabulous one. Recharged on great food, conversations, sleep and sun, we say goodbye—for now.
